Fearless Friday don’t forget to save your work

Posted on: February 28, 2009

Now that I came up with the inspiration for today’s post I learned a very valuable lesson about saving drafts… We will begin again…
The time has come to begin to come to terms with the death of a dear friend. He was a very talented unsung hero and a gifted musician and songwriter. His songs were mostly in a raw state and not many folks even knew that he was writing. He just worked his craft waiting for the day… That day never came, so now that he is gone the rest of his bandmates and close friends have decided to get together, polish and hone the material and celebrate his contributions so we all have a piece of him in our hearts. Then on March 7th a whole crew of friends and former band partners will come together at his favourite watering hole to perform these songs and give us all a chance to reflect. Never stop creating and always let your friends lend a hand to help share the joy of your creations. I hope he will be proud of what his songs have done, bringing old friends and family together in a way that no other medium can, through the joy of music created by and for them all. Drop me a line if you are in Central Alberta and wish to take part in this night of music. dordarama at yahoo dot com

I guess this means i should spend more time with your husband 🙂 I’m glad to hear the show went well *hugs*

Hi, I’m new here. I’m sorry to hear about the demise of your friend. It always makes me wonder “What would he/she have accomplished if they had lived?” It is especially heart wrenching feeling like a talent is cut short and the world is left a little lacking for not having them anymore.

we are going to get some of his friends together to record some of his songs
